But I will help you break this pattern and feel the strength, energy and desire to move forward. So especially for you I have prepared 10 conclusions from the book “The 5 A.M. Miracle: Dominate Your Day Before Breakfast” by Jeff Sanders especially for you. And also at the end of the book there is a useful task that will help you start moving towards your goal, don’t miss it!
Grab your coffee, we’re starting!
1. Over time, you can train yourself to enjoy the process of growth
I think everyone recognizes themselves in a situation when they didn’t want to introduce some new useful habits or knowledge into their life, but when you overpower your inner self once, twice, three times, you begin to realize how much you are changing for the better. Try it.
2. Getting up early – for what?
If you’ve decided that getting up early is a useful habit, well… it’s not. It will acquire its meaning when you know why you are going to do it. That’s what this next conclusion is about.
3. Make an action plan BEFORE the next day begins
To increase our efficiency, we need a clear plan of action for the day. After all, when you go to the store, it’s easier to buy everything on a list than to run around the racks frantically remembering what else you forgot. Don’t you agree? It’s the same here, but to avoid wasting your morning time on plans and start your day proactively, it’s worth thinking about it in the evening. Does that sound uncomfortable? You can handle it!
4. Putting off the alarm clock = defeat.
Speaking of wasted time. Have you ever had one of those times when you didn’t want to get up on time and you delayed your wake up “for 5 minutes”? First one time, then another, then another, then another and… then “GAME OVER” appears in big letters in front of your eyes. Just kidding, it’s more of a moral failure. Not only is precious time wasted, but when you do have to get up, you feel depressed. Cheerfulness has left the chat room. Am I right?
5. Music for work matters
Wake up, stretch? Great, now let’s pick the right music for work. If you’re used to working to chiseled rock or heavy dubstep (okay, boomer), that’s your business, but if I tell you that there are special services with music that stimulates brain activity. Jeff Sanders (author of “The 5 A.M. Miracle: Dominate Your Day Before Breakfast”) recommends music, give it a try, maybe it will help you focus and be more productive.
6. Most goals take the same amount of effort to realize
Have you heard the flick of a toggle switch in your head? No? Then let me explain. If you have long wanted to become, for example, a famous rock musician, it’s a big goal, but if you break it down into smaller ones (learn to play guitar, create a band of like-minded people, constantly rehearse), it won’t seem so difficult. An elephant should be eaten in pieces, have you heard that phrase?
7. 10 minutes for reflection as a daily ritual
Another useful habit that won’t take away your energy, but will benefit you (and what a benefit it will be). While you’re working, just turn off your computer, turn off your smartphone alerts, put away the cat/dog and parrot, and try to just think about something. If thoughts don’t immediately come to mind, grab a notebook and just doodle. This way you’ll create a space for the thought process through which cool new ideas will fly in. Even if they seem crazy at first, write them down in your notebook and reread them after a while. You might see new meaning in them. I’m committed to doing this with you, too.
8. Monthly goals are the key to success
Think of how frantically in the last days of the passing year you try to finish what you promised yourself back at the beginning. But what have you been doing all this time? To prevent this from happening, I recommend setting goals for yourself not for a year or a quarter, but for just a month. Your vigor and conclusion #3 will help you with this. The goals will be more specific and the profits will be bigger.
9. What do you do when things don’t go according to plan?
If you’ve lost vigor and feel another bottom under your feet, I have a series of questions for you. Write them down for yourself and don’t lose them, you’ll need them. Ask yourself:
- What does the perfect version of you look like?
- What do you do every day?
- Who are you with every day?
- What are you striving for and working hard at?
- What do you do when things are going well?
If you are honest with yourself and answer all these questions, they will help you, I believe.
And now pay attention
Have you ever looked back and thought about missed opportunities? You can forget and put off working on yourself for another day, but I’m sure that if you start right – You will succeed!!!!
